Terms of Service

By using Mapboot ("we," "us," "our"), you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using any Mapboot service, you accept these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
2. Your content
You retain ownership of the maps, floor plans, labels, and other content you create or upload. By using the service, you grant Mapboot a limited license to host, display, and process your content solely to operate and improve the service.
3. Subscription plans and pricing
Mapboot offers a range of subscription plans. All plans, plan names, included features, pricing, usage limits, and availability are subject to change. We reserve the right to modify, adjust, replace, or discontinue any plan at any time. If a change materially affects your current subscription, we will provide reasonable advance notice via email so you can decide how to proceed.
4. Free plan and Core tier conditions
Mapboot may offer free map creation, free map-building assistance, or access to the Core tier at no charge. These free services are intended for event organizers, venues, exhibitors, and other parties with a legitimate connection to the map being requested. The following conditions apply:
- We may decline, pause, or stop free map creation if we determine that the requester does not have a legitimate relationship to the event, venue, floor plan, or map being recreated.
- Free map creation is not available for resellers, agencies, brokers, or other third parties requesting maps for resale, redistribution, lead generation, or use on behalf of an unrelated party unless Mapboot approves the arrangement in writing.
- Maps and related imagery produced under the free plan or Core tier remain the intellectual property of your organization, subject to the license rights granted to Mapboot in these terms.
- By using the free plan, receiving free map creation, or using a map created under the Core tier, you grant Mapboot a perpetual, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, publish, and promote the resulting map, screenshots, clips, and related imagery on the Mapboot website, in product demonstrations, in portfolio materials, and in promotional content.
- Mapboot may include maps created under the Core tier in promotional videos, screen recordings, short clips, social media posts, and similar marketing materials.
- You will continue to have access to the map under the terms, availability, and limits of your subscription plan or free tier.
- You may request that identifiable branding or event names be removed from Mapboot's marketing materials by contacting admin@mapboot.com, but removal may not apply to materials already published, distributed, indexed, archived, or shared by third parties.
We may require additional verification before starting or continuing free map creation. We reserve the right to decide whether a request qualifies for free map creation or Core tier assistance.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service — for example, by attempting to access it through means other than the provided interface, interfering with other users, or using the service for unlawful purposes.
6. Termination
You may stop using Mapboot at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases, though provisions that by nature should survive (e.g., intellectual property, limitation of liability) will remain in effect.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mapboot shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and notify you where appropriate. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
