Mapboot (“we,” “us,” “our”) provides indoor mapping, viewer, and navigation tools for organizations. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What we collect

  • Account info: name, email, organization.
  • Product data: maps, floors, labels, and collaboration assignments you upload or create.
  • Usage & device data: logs, performance metrics, browser/device information.
  • Billing: handled by Stripe. We do not store credit-card numbers on our servers.

How we use data

  • Operate and improve Mapboot (render maps, save edits, search/routing, security, performance).
  • Support & communications (respond to requests, product updates).
  • Service quality: We use customer content and usage data to develop new features and improve the overall quality, performance, and reliability of Mapboot. Whenever practical, we aggregate or de-identify data used for analytics and product research. We do not sell personal data.
  • Legal/compliance and fraud prevention.

Legal bases (GDPR)

We process data to perform our contract with you, based on legitimate interests (product security and improvement), and with consent where required.

CCPA

  • We do not sell personal information.
  • We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • You can request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your data (see below).

Data sharing

We share data only with service providers (e.g., hosting on Microsoft Azure, logging/analytics, Stripe for payments) under contracts that limit use to our instructions, and as required by law/safety obligations.

Storage, security, and location

We host on Microsoft Azure and use safeguards such as encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. Data may be processed in regions where we or our providers operate.

Retention

We keep data only as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. Collaboration/map content follows your organization’s settings or contract.

Your rights

  • GDPR: access, correct, delete, export, object/restrict processing, and withdraw consent where applicable.
  • CCPA: right to know, delete, and freedom from discrimination for exercising rights.

Subscription plans and pricing

Mapboot offers a range of subscription plans to suit different needs. We reserve the right to modify, adjust, or discontinue any plan — including its features, pricing, and usage limits — at any time. If a change materially affects your current subscription, we will provide reasonable advance notice so you can decide how to proceed.

Promotional programs

Mapboot may occasionally offer to build maps for facilities at no charge as part of a promotional or partnership program. Maps created under such programs may be used by Mapboot in accordance with our Terms of Service. Participants will be informed of the applicable terms before any work begins.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for sessions, analytics, and features. You can control cookies in your browser; some features may not work without them.

Changes

We may update this policy. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date and notify you where appropriate.
